I've just found an
interesting article on creating an intensity histogram of an image in php via the
phpdeveloper site. It's not really related to the creation of web applications but I've flagged it up because I did something similar as a tiny part of my final year project at University.
I wasn't using PHP for that project but rather a slightly obscure language called Limbo on the Inferno operating system. In terms of the execution of the script the main difference (besides the syntax) is that in Limbo it is possible to get the pixel values for an area rather than just one pixel at a time as is the case in PHP.
I'm curious how fast this script would be in PHP. I'll have to add a little test to my list of things to do.
I rank well for the weirdest things. Recently I've been trying out some web analytics tools and I thought I would share some of my discoveries. I'm mainly going to talk about the search queries I rank well for. If you are interested then read on, if
